We would like to invite you to a meeting with Madeleine Albright, an American politician and diplomat, the first female United States Secretary of State in U.S. history. She is an author of ‘Fascism: A Warning’. The meeting will be held on the 8th of March at 17.00 at the Old Library hall. The discussion will be moderated over by Bartosz T. Zielinski, head of the Foreign Affairs department of the ‘Gazeta Wyborcza’ newspaper.
Prof. Madeleine Albright was born in 1937 in Prague. Albright’s family emigrated to the USA. She attended Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, majoring in political science. She served in the National Security Council. After leaving the National Security Council, Albright advised Democratic candidates regarding foreign policy. In 1993, Clinton appointed her to the position of US Ambassador to the United Nations. She held that position until 1997. Albright has served as chair of the Albright Stonebridge Group since 2009 and is currently a professor of International Relations at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.
