The conference on India in Contemporary World Implications for EU; was organized on 31 May 2010 in Warsaw: Mr. Deepak Vohra, Ambassador of India to Poland & Lithuania was the key note speaker. Dr J. Bhagwati, (Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of· Luxembourg and to the European Communities and the Council of the European Union) presented the paper on “Evolution of India-EU relations at the turn of XXI century”. Krzysztof Dobrowolski (Deputy Director of Department of Asia-Pacific, Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland), Polish Presidency in the EU presented the paper on “Goals and Priorities. Implications for EU’s Policy toward Asia and India”. Professor Maria K. Byrski (Faculty of Oriental Studies) presented the paper on “India and the EU: a new partnership? – Challenges, constraints and perspectives”. Professor E. Haliżak, Institute of International Relation, University of Warsaw chaired the program.
