9 August 2010, Kathmandu: European Union and South Asia. Learning from Each Other. Conference was co-organized with Nepal Poland Friendship Council, Department of Conflict and Peace and Development Studies Tribhuvan University on 9th August 2010 in Kathmandu, Nepal. One day conference was able to bring almost 120 particiapnts including, scholars, Professors and polticial leaders participated in the conference.
The program highlighted that South Asian countries can engage in building sustainable democracy, economic and peace and South Asian countries enter a new era of regional collaboration for managing transboundary problems and explore the possibilities for building a partnership with the European Union (EU) for democracy, economy, development and peacebuilding. South Asian countries should welcome and participate in efforts to forge an EU-South Asia Partnership.
